As Tropea is located on a rocky plateau, the view of the turquoise colored Mediterranean Sea is even more spectacular. And, on clear days, you can make out in the distance the offshore Aeolian Islands, one of them the smoking volcano of Stromboli.

It includes a spacious living-dining room with TV, sofa and dining corner, a kitchen (incl. induction cooktop, refrigerator with freezer compartment), two double bedrooms and two bathrooms (shower/WC/bidet).
The apartment's balcony overlooks the tranquil piazza behind the house.

Parking: You can park your car in a public parking lot about 400 m from the apartment. As it is rather difficult, above all during mid summer season, to find available parking, we recommend a journey by train. Tropea train station is within easy walking distance of Casa Michele; connections to the towns worth stopping by and not too far off are good. 

Immediate surroundings of Casa Michele

As Casa Michele is located in the centro storico, grocery stores, restaurants and bars are only a few meters off.

Before doing some bigger shopping, ask Michele, landlord of the apartment, about his olive oil "Kalavrì". It is the perfect ingredient for light Calabrian summer cuisine.

The sandy beach of Tropea is only about 200 m from the holiday apartment.

Tips for excursions

Take a boat trip to the Aeolian Islands. The friendly caretakers of Casa Michele, Christina and Michele, are happy to help you with the planning of your excursions.

Discover the hinterland of Calabria with its idyllic hiking trails and medieval villages.

Stop by the small coastal town of Pizzo (40 km from Tropea), which is famous for its ice cream specialty "Il tartufo di Pizzo". A stroll through the town is topped off by a terrific view of the sea.
